Why you should play Thanksgiving bingo

Bingo is one of my favorite games to play in a group, and Thanksgiving bingo is a great way to get everyone involved in the celebration. It’s also a great icebreaker if you’re hosting Thanksgiving for the first time or if you have guests who don’t know each other well. And since it’s free, you can play as many rounds as you want! Here are a few reasons why you should play Thanksgiving bingo:

1. It’s a great way to get everyone involved in the festivities

2. It’s a great icebreaker for guests who don’t know each other well

3. It’s free! You can print out as many copies as you need

4. It’s a fun way to pass the time while the adults are preparing the feast

5. The kids will love it!

How to play Thanksgiving bingo

Thanksgiving bingo is easy to set up and play. Here is the steps to setup your game:

1. Print out the free printable Thanksgiving bingo cards. You can find them at the bottom of this post.

2. Place the cards face down in a pile.

3. Have each player choose one bingo card and place it in front of them.

4. Place all the Thanksgiving bingo markers in a bowl or container.

5. To play, have someone draw a marker from the bowl and call out the icon they’ve pulled. For example, if they drew a turkey marker, they would say “turkey.”

6. Players then look for that icon on their bingo card and mark it off with a marker (you can use pencils, pennies, or any other small objects).

7. The first player to get five icons in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) wins the game!

8. If you want to play multiple rounds, simply have everyone put their bingo card back in the pile and choose another one. Then play again!

Ways to win Bingo

Two Rows – Be the first player to get two rows of objects.

Four Corners – Be the first player to get all four corners.

Blackout Bingo – Be the first player to get a blackout (marking off all the objects on their card).

Fun ways to play Thanksgiving Bingo

1. For a longer game, play until all the objects on the bingo card have been called.

2. For a shorter game, play with fewer objects on the bingo cards.

4. Get creative and come up with your own Thanksgiving-themed objects to call out!

5. Play multiple rounds, with different players winning each round.

6. Give prizes to the winners, like Thanksgiving-themed stickers or candy.

7. Make up your own rules โ€“ it’s your game! Be creative and have fun!

How to use Bingo as an educational game

1. Thanksgiving bingo is a great way to learn Thanksgiving vocabulary in English (or another language).

2. As players mark off objects on their bingo card, they can say the name of the object out loud.

3. For a more challenging game, create calling cards of the objects using the words, then call out the objects in French (or another language) and have players mark them off in English.

4. Use bingo as a way to review Thanksgiving facts and history. As you call out each object, give a brief explanation or story about it. For example, when you call out “cornucopia,” you could explain that it’s a symbol of abundance and prosperity.

5. You can also use bingo as a way to teach kids about numbers and counting. As you call out each object, have players count how many of that object are on their bingo card.

Tips for printing and storing your bingo cards

1. If you want to play multiple rounds of bingo, print out a few sets of bingo cards so you have extras on hand.

2. To make the game more challenging, print out two sets of bingo cards and mix them up before playing. This way, players will have a harder time getting five in a row.

3. Laminate your bingo cards for durability, or slip them into plastic sheet protectors. This way, you can use them over and over again!

4. Store your bingo cards in a zip-top bag or container so they don’t get lost.
